The Little Mermaid was diffidently one of my favorite shows from a technical perspective! I had so much fun learning to projection map complex walls and objects with our 5 projectors. Additionally from a lighting perspective this show was a welcomed challenge with having lots of projection cues in our light board and having a ton of wireless lights and fixtures in our moving set and props, for example we had wireless CoDots in our caldron and the shell. This was cool especially for the shell because we could have it pulse and change colors while somebody was holding it and when the shell breaks we can easily hide it. Adding all of these wireless fixtures required me to setup a new patching universe on our light board and link it to our Di-Fi transmitter(ADJ Protocol).

For this show we decorated the whole auditorium and hallway around the auditorium. I helped build all of these decorations and organized where they were going.
This is one of our photo opportunities, after some of the shows the main characters would come out and take photos with all of the kids who came to see the show.
This is the cauldron that we made for our show, one other person and I built it. We installed 2 wireless lights and a fog machine in it using an elevated base of chicken wire.
Here is the final product of the cauldron.
This is our shell, I also made this, we put a wireless light on the inside which was fun because we could make it change colors and pulse. The light being so close to the shell was an issue but we were able to use a trash bag as a diffuser.
In the background of this scene you will notice our boulders. I installed wireless lights into the boulders. Me and some others then connected these lights to fiber optics that came out of the top of the boulders.

Some more programming for the new Pixbar lights that I wired and added to the back of the stage.
Here is a photo of our stage before the show started, we had trivia and lots of UV to bring out the UV Paint and Glow Paint that we had put on the set earlier in the week after rehersal.
YAY! Celebrating after setting up our new projector that covers the whole cyc! This was so exciting!
This is a part of me starting to wire all of the projectors via SDI. We had one in the booth, 2 in spot towers, and 2 on top of the stage.
After getting all of the projectors connected and positioned properly. It was time to map them, this is a photo of the walls that we built on the sides of the stage and covered in mesh and cloth to make them look like boulders.
Next I created groups that all have dmx values that can be used in the board to select multiple objects at the same time.
This is a view of the media master folder that I used. I had this connected to Drive for Desktop, this was super nice because I was able to collect media from other devices/perople without having to use a flash drive or sd card.
During the show we wound up being so busy that I wound up creating this hotkey keyboard to connect to our projection computer that I installed Hog on and connected to our main lighting board, so me and the lighting designer could program at the same time.

This is my ToDo list during the show trying to stay organized and make the best of the time that I have.

This is the Floor/Wall Media folder, this folder started at 60 and went to 127.
Here is a photo of the master projection list, it showed the general area where the projection was showed and what the projection was supposed to be.
Editing projections to make sure that they loop properly and making sure that they all have some kind of movement.
